In Memoriam William "Butch" Sevila

In Memoriam William “Butch” Sevila (Dec. 31, 1967 – Oct. 20, 2018)
Butch spent his entire career in the Securities industry since graduating from James Madison University, VA, in 1990 Suma cum Laude with a BBA in Finance.  Butch was a member of the Wells Fargo Premier Advisors² program since 2000. Wanting to provide more comprehensive advice to his clients, Butch attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM, or CFP®, practitioner designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board), in August 2012.
Butch was an active leader in his local community of Great Falls, VA. He served on the board of the Great Falls Rotary Club and he coached youth sports for over 15 years.  Additionally, he was a board member for the DC/MD/VA board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).  Butch was an avid collector of classic and antique cars and hosted the annual Cars for the Cure drive to end diabetes car show to raise money and awareness for Type 1 diabetes.

Butch was devoted to his wife Monica, and couldn’t have been more proud of his three children, Jane, Will and Michael who are a testament to his fine legacy. Butch befriended all who came in contact with him and will long be remembered for his broad smile, generous heart and thoughtful and reassuring advice.

2The Premier Advisors designation is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors and reflects a high level of standards as measured by business production, completion of educational components and professionalism.
